Edgard Breckenfeld started the match with the kick off. Luís Fabiano Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iuri Mota's late challenge caught a Fanfarroes MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iuri Mota helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes Marangua got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Mota. Tiago Gabriel Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Breckenfeld in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Fanfarroes MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fabiano Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. Edgar de Barros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tiago Gabriel Novaes. Fanfarroes MZC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fabinho Travassos hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. João Vítor Gaúcho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiago Gabriel Novaes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Edgard Breckenfeld scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiago Gabriel Novaes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfredinho Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marangua's goalkeeper Nilton Gonçalves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alfredinho Marques received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nilton Gonçalves came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfredinho Marques slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 22nd minute. Tiago Gabriel Novaes came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Marangua's João Vítor Gaúcho. But to his dismay, João Vítor Gaúcho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. João Vítor Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Tiago Gabriel Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiago Gabriel Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Vítor Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredinho Marques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Fanfarroes MZC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Arí Loureiro hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Fanfarroes MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Breckenfeld came free, but Tiago Gabriel Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmyr Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Fanfarroes MZC's Tiago Gabriel Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Breckenfeld in the 59th minute of play. Edgard Breckenfeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nilton Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matheus Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Tiago Gabriel Novaes made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Vítor Gaúcho in the 72nd minute. Fanfarroes MZC's Tiago Gabriel Novaes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Fanfarroes MZC from getting a goal against them. João Vítor Gaúcho might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiago Gabriel Novaes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Vítor Gaúcho ran back to his position shaking his head. Edgard Breckenfeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Gabriel Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Breckenfeld in the 85th minute of the match. João Vítor Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgard Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Tiago Gabriel Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marangua's João Vítor Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Vítor Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Gabriel Novaes having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Fanfarroes MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Breckenfeld came free, but Tiago Gabriel Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marangua's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
