After a defensive mix-up in Fc Patrick's zone, Henrique Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murilo Portela came out of the goal and Henrique Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Eliseu Andrade made a precise shot to the right of Mariano Esteves. AKXE MADUREIRA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 21 minutes of play, Fc Patrick's Eliseu Andrade made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariano Esteves was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27th minute Diego Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrique Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Murilo Portela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AKXE MADUREIRA. After a rather tough play, Fc Patrick's Nuno Mansilha got a free kick in the 46th minute. When Aldo Coelho came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the AKXE MADUREIRA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldo Coelho couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jacob Miranda made the kick off in the second half.
