Adil Bernstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calvin Teuwen in the 3rd minute of play. Jan Baader's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danny Wittenbeck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. After 6 minutes, Gregor Meyers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Berlin and the Eisern Union players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Berlin's Gregor Meyers got a free kick in the 6th minute. Jan Baader sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Eisern Union booed when FC Berlin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Crispin Stadler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Eisern Union's Jan Baader ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Danny Wittenbeck. Danny Wittenbeck yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Calvin Teuwen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christopher Benecke during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Eisern Union getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jörg Göger hit a great ball. Kristian Stier was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jakob Heupel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Danny Wittenbeck made a huge save. Eisern Union's Jan Baader got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jan Baader struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Danny Wittenbeck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eisern Union. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvin Teuwen in the 44th minute of play forced Eisern Union's goalkeeper Adil Bernstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adil Bernstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Geißler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Calvin Teuwen was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute, Jakob Heupel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danny Wittenbeck was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Jan Baader might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danny Wittenbeck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Baader ran back to his position shaking his head. After 68 played minutes Eisern Union got a freekick which was hit by Ekkehard Jarchow. Danny Wittenbeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Heupel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the game, Calvin Teuwen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adil Bernstein. Calvin Teuwen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvin Teuwen in the 81st minute of play forced Eisern Union's goalkeeper Adil Bernstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danny Wittenbeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Baader in the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Jan Baader notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of FC Berlin's Danny Wittenbeck. Danny Wittenbeck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ekkehard Jarchow kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Abbe Groth charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abbe Groth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 95 played minutes FC Berlin got a freekick which was hit by Abbe Groth. Eisern Union were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Berlin for a fine match.
