Spectators: 6868 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Calvin Teuwen started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Höxter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emile Scharpe to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the game, Michael Portner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Höxter's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Berlin the free kick. After 7 played minutes Höxter got a freekick which was hit by Michael Portner. In the 16th minute, Michael Portner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mohamed Kärgel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregor Meyers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Geißler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Berlin's goalkeeper Danny Wittenbeck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Höxter getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Pär Schiffer hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Kristian Stier managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Berlin's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristian Stier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohamed Kärgel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Berlin's Calvin Teuwen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mohamed Kärgel. That made the score 1-0 after 36 minutes of play. 42 minutes into the match, Gunter Gerster notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Berlin's Danny Wittenbeck. Danny Wittenbeck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 45 minutes into the game, Höxter's Jörn Schütz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danny Wittenbeck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jörn Schütz to make the kick off. Gabriel Geißler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Mohamed Kärgel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 52 minutes, Gunter Gerster mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Höxter and the FC Berlin players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gunter Gerster kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of FC Berlin booed when Höxter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunter Gerster didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Geißler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Kärgel having to interfere. In the 56th minute Calvin Teuwen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohamed Kärgel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calvin Teuwen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mohamed Kärgel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Geißler, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Gabriel Geißler notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Höxter's Mohamed Kärgel. Mohamed Kärgel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jörn Schütz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Wittenbeck having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gunter Gerster got free with Danny Wittenbeck in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Gabriel Geißler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 minutes of play, FC Berlin's Gabriel Geißler made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mohamed Kärgel was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Gunter Gerster came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Höxter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gunter Gerster couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute of the match Alessio Kreissler sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mohamed Kärgel skillfully saved the ball. Jörn Schütz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Wittenbeck having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Berlin had won after a very even match.
