Nicu Isvoreanu made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Gigi Doman sent off a good shot on target. FC Bucuresti were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Riiosa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Manole Zăhărescu took the corner. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
