A collision led to Sangue Nos Zóio getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Didi Correia hit a great ball. Simão de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Moreno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fábio Arruda having to make a save. 7 minutes into the match, Urussui's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Correia came free, but Daniel Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Sangue Nos Zóio's Fábio Arruda got control of the ball when Victor Moreno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fábio Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão de Sena in the 17th minute of the match. Carlos Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Tasso having to interfere. Serginho Meirelles's late challenge caught a Sangue Nos Zóio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serginho Meirelles helped the player get up and apologised. Serginho Meirelles kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. When Aílton Martins fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urussui's protests and gave Aílton Martins a yellow card for diving instead. 22 minutes into the match, Urussui's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Cruz came free, but Daniel Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Willian Rezende took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Daniel Tasso. Urussui's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 38 minutes, Téo Rodrigues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sangue Nos Zóio and the Urussui players grew even worse after the yellow card. Téo Rodrigues hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Fábio Arruda made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Victor Moreno sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Simão de Sena took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fábio Arruda to make any attempt to save it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Carlos Cruz made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Urussui booed when Sangue Nos Zóio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Daniel Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Urussui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Severo to maneuver through the defense. Fábio Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão de Sena in the 72nd minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Sangue Nos Zóio:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Urussui:s goal. Fábio Arruda had in the 76thth minute some difficulties stopping Simão de Sena's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Fábio Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Moreno's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After 79 minutes, Sydney de Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sangue Nos Zóio and the Urussui players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sangue Nos Zóio's Sydney de Medeiros got a free kick in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Sangue Nos Zóio's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Moreno came free, but Fábio Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Urussui's Simão de Sena in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sangue Nos Zóio's goalie prevented a goal. The attack was good, but when Simão de Sena in the 91st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Daniel Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sydney de Medeiros's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. There was no doubt that Urussui were the better team. Urussui's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
