Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Jeritaco EC's Sílvio Luiz Peres started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ediberto Duarte made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Gilmar Vianna sent off a good shot on target. José Maria Guedes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geovânio Moura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Guaravera's Nilmar Velloso got a free kick in the 6th minute. After 8 minutes, Cido Pitta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guaravera and the Jeritaco EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Guaravera getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Cido Pitta hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Jeritaco EC's Arnaldo Brasil tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Conrado Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 15 minutes, Gernando Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaravera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gernando Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Ediberto Duarte successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 21 played minutes Jeritaco EC got a freekick which was hit by José Maria Guedes. Geovânio Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Garcia in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Guaravera's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luiz Peres came free, but Geovânio Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gernando Guerra did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Ediberto Duarte 29 minutes into the match. If Remo Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conrado Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Moura having to interfere. Sílvio Luiz Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Moura having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Cido Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gernando Guerra to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes in the game, Sílvio Luiz Peres fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Geovânio Moura having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Sílvio Luiz Peres took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Geovânio Moura to make any attempt to save it. 60 minutes into the match, Guaravera's goalkeeper Geovânio Moura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conrado Garcia. After 62 played minutes, Jeritaco EC's Arnaldo Brasil shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Geovânio Moura came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jeritaco EC reached it. Conrado Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Gilmar Vianna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Conrado Garcia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Geovânio Moura made a huge save. 82 minutes into the game, Sílvio Luiz Peres recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Geovânio Moura. Sílvio Luiz Peres showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in Guaravera's zone, Sílvio Luiz Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovânio Moura came out of the goal and Sílvio Luiz Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Maria Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeritaco EC's Ediberto Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernando Guerra in the 96th minute of play. Guaravera were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Jeritaco EC for a fine match.
