The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 16th minute Cido Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute BRASIL.Sp were awarded a corner. Renan Zanette went to the cornerflag to take it. BRASIL.Sp's Cauã Loyola was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Reynaldo das Neves in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cido Cardozo in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reynaldo das Neves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Bernardinho Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Rezende FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardinho Cardoso couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, BRASIL.Sp's Cido Cardozo got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 42nd minute Bernardinho Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cido Cardozo was the one to do the kick off. Carlos Fernando Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. BRASIL.Sp made a substitution. João Adolfo Trevisan replaced Renan Zanette. After 57 played minutes Rezende FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando Mazza. Reynaldo das Neves was a little too slow when Cido Cardozo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-1. Reynaldo das Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Adolfo Trevisan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hortêncio Berger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardinho Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Rezende FC's Reynaldo das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Paulo Barbosa in the 71st minute of play. In the 71stth minute of the game Luís Paulo Barbosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rezende FC's Reynaldo das Neves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Rezende FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Adriano da Rocha hit a great ball. Adriano da Rocha hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. When Moisés Linhares fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BRASIL.Sp's protests and gave Moisés Linhares a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to BRASIL.Sp getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Moisés Linhares hit a great ball. With a little luck, Rezende FC's Reynaldo das Neves got control of the ball when João Adolfo Trevisan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hortêncio Berger came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Rezende FC's Ediberto Linares. But to his dismay, Ediberto Linares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Bernardinho Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Hortêncio Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
