After a rather tough play, Foot Ball Club di Roma's Bryan Cristante got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niccolo Zaniolo in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lev Yashin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Longobarda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yağız Ergünay was slow to take the kick. During this time Foot Ball Club di Roma's players had a chance to rest. In the 10th minute Longobarda were awarded a corner. Alvaro Valcareggi went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Alvaro Valcareggi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alvaro Pardini quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the Longobarda defense, Niccolo Zaniolo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lev Yashin. The Longobarda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lev Yashin should have stopped the shot. Lev Yashin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niccolo Zaniolo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niccolo Zaniolo might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lev Yashin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niccolo Zaniolo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 16th minute Niccolo Zaniolo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Longobarda's Lev Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niccolo Zaniolo in the 54th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Edwin Godholm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Longobarda's supporters rose to their feet, but Edwin Godholm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro Pardini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anthimos Vougas kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Lev Yashin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 60th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Yağız Ergünay. But to his dismay, Edwin Godholm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Longobarda's Zhang Xiang was substituted for Florian Cocca. Alvaro Pardini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Godholm in the 82nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Foot Ball Club di Roma's zone, Zhang Xiang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Pardini came out of the goal and Zhang Xiang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Foot Ball Club di Roma's Armando Ceresoli was substituted for Biagio Scoca. If Niccolo Zaniolo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niccolo Zaniolo got free with Lev Yashin in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Foot Ball Club di Roma booed when Longobarda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Godholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Longobarda getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Edwin Godholm hit a great ball. Longobarda's Lev Yashin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Longobarda from getting a goal against them. When Niccolo Zaniolo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Foot Ball Club di Roma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niccolo Zaniolo couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the match, Zhang Xiang notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Foot Ball Club di Roma's Alvaro Pardini. Alvaro Pardini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 97 minutes into the match, Foot Ball Club di Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin Godholm came free, but Alvaro Pardini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Foot Ball Club di Roma players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Longobarda.
