With an all-out effort, Foot Ball Club di Roma's Antonio Buccella threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Niccolo Zaniolo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 18 minutes, Leandro Greco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Foot Ball Club di Roma and the Gabbro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Foot Ball Club di Roma getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Leandro Greco hit a great ball. If Edvard Slæggerup had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yağız Ergünay hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Gabbro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Niccolo Zaniolo came free, but Antonio Buccella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Niccolo Zaniolo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Foot Ball Club di Roma fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The Foot Ball Club di Roma players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gabbro FC were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niccolo Zaniolo to make the kick off. Edvard Slæggerup who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Alvaro Pardini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 53rd minute, Nicholas Langsford ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvaro Pardini was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Edvard Slæggerup's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alvaro Pardini firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 64th minute Niccolo Zaniolo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Buccella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Nicholas Langsford ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvaro Pardini was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. After 83 played minutes Gabbro FC got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Ciraci. Foot Ball Club di Roma were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Gabbro FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Yağız Ergünay took the corner. Alvaro Flamini was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 88th minute Armando Ceresoli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Buccella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Ceresoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Buccella having to interfere.
