Gerd Treial could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Zacarias Ascencio made a huge save. With a little luck, Celta de Virgos's Zacarias Ascencio got control of the ball when Gerd Treial tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Brown Puerto Madryn defense, Benny Niva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santiago Nataniel. The Brown Puerto Madryn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Nataniel should have stopped the shot. Zacarias Ascencio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerd Treial in the 17th minute. Benny Niva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santiago Nataniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute of the match Celta de Virgos got a corner. Brown Puerto Madryn's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonardo Cordero ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Celta de Virgos's corner Leonardo Cordero fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Santiago Nataniel quite easily take care of the ball. Zacarias Ascencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svante Falkrans in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Benny Niva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Santiago Nataniel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th match minute, Brown Puerto Madryn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Noe to maneuver through the defense. Santiago Nataniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benny Niva, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Santiago Nataniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benny Niva in the 33rd minute of play. Santiago Nataniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benny Niva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Celta de Virgos were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benny Niva made a kick off. In the 50th match minute, Brown Puerto Madryn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Noe to maneuver through the defense. Santiago Nataniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benny Niva in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Brown Puerto Madryn's goalkeeper Santiago Nataniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Celta de Virgos's Benny Niva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Celta de Virgos's David Astudillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Santiago Nataniel. That made the score 0-4 after 83 minutes of play. A collision led to Brown Puerto Madryn getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Rodrigo De Paul hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Rodrigo De Paul made a precise shot to the right of Zacarias Ascencio. Celta de Virgos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Zacarias Ascencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xurde Campoamor in the 93rd minute of play. Zacarias Ascencio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xurde Campoamor went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Celta de Virgos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
