The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Los Hermanos CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zézinho Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. Emílio Lima struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Juan dos Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Hermanos CIMZ. In the 20th minute Fernando Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Los Hermanos CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Sampaio came free, but Hamílton Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Bruno Lenzi put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hamílton Saraiva. Ulisses Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Hamílton Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Lenzi in the 40th minute of the match. Los Hermanos CIMZ's Hamílton Saraiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Los Hermanos CIMZ from getting a goal against them. Hamílton Saraiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Lenzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emílio Lima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Bruno Lenzi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hamílton Saraiva. Los Hermanos CIMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Lenzi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Juan dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. When Adelino Sampaio came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the FALCÕES VERDES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adelino Sampaio couldn't finish the play. Hamílton Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Prestes in the 75th minute of the match. After 82 played minutes Los Hermanos CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Zézinho Albuquerque. The supporters of FALCÕES VERDES booed when Los Hermanos CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute of the match Oswaldo Recife shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hamílton Saraiva showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Juan dos Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo da Cunha in the 92nd minute. If Armandinho Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Los Hermanos CIMZ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FALCÕES VERDES.
