Kaká Carneiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fulgencio Eyague read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Romulo Viator stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zeledon Savion's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Su Shu Zhen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fulgencio Eyague took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Su Shu Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Aristide Ciuvică's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romulo Viator was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After some careless play in the OTTO FC - FSCMZ defense, Aristide Ciuvică kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romulo Viator. The OTTO FC - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romulo Viator should have stopped the shot. Romulo Viator came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by AC LeX Luthor's Aristide Ciuvică. But to his dismay, Aristide Ciuvică quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Savion in the 35th minute of play forced OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Romulo Viator to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fulgencio Eyague took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Su Shu Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romulo Viator showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Savion, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kaká Carneiro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Aristide Ciuvică reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Romulo Viator. The goal made the score 0-3. Romulo Viator made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zeledon Savion in the 64th minute. AC LeX Luthor's Fulgencio Eyague played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Carneiro in the 66th minute of play. Fulgencio Eyague took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaká Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeledon Savion who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Romulo Viator when he managed to save the team from getting behind. AC LeX Luthor made a substitution. Hermenegildo Ventura replaced Zeledon Savion. AC LeX Luthor's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Spiro Cocca in the 81st minute. The corner led to AC LeX Luthor's Rodion Nikitin getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peep Pronk in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romulo Viator saved OTTO FC - FSCMZ from getting behind. Ricardinho Mesquita made in the 91st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Kaká Carneiro however managed to control. AC LeX Luthor's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
