Lauro da Silveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! União São José FC's Lauro da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wincent Pawlik in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Wincent Pawlik made a precise shot to the right of Lauro da Silveira. União São José FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Wincent Pawlik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro da Silveira having to interfere. Sérgio Mangueiras short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Hudson Arósio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hudson Arósio stood somewhat misplaced when Sérgio Mangueira came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 25 minute. The supporters of União São José FC booed when Santo Amaro AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. União São José FC's Fabiano de Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, União São José FC's Sérgio Mangueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hudson Arósio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 32 minutes into the game, Santo Amaro AC's Cipriano Hermes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lauro da Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Cipriano Hermes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lauro da Silveira having to make a save. 44 minutes into the match, Santo Amaro AC's Wincent Pawlik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lauro da Silveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lauro da Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sérgio Mangueira to make the kick off. Sérgio Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Hudson Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sidnei de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Sérgio Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hudson Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lauro da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wincent Pawlik, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Cipriano Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lauro da Silveira made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Cipriano Hermes sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute, Cipriano Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hudson Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Mangueira in the 82nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco de Salles during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 85th minute, one of União São José FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for União São José FC. The score was 1-4 after a penalty in the 87th minute, where Santo Amaro AC:s Wincent Pawlik tricked União São José FC:s Lauro da Silveira with a difficult ball by the left post. After having played for 91 minutes, Wincent Pawlik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santo Amaro AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wincent Pawlik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Santo Amaro AC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
