The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 played minutes Moema EC got a freekick which was hit by Acácio Abraão. In the 7th minute, Lauro Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Denver Light's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Pedro Azevedo was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Moema EC's Zé Pedro Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Best in the 11th minute of play. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Juan Lebron sped through Moema EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zé Pedro Azevedo. Moema EC's Zé Pedro Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Lebron in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Jimmie Stephansson made a precise shot to the right of Zé Pedro Azevedo. Moema EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Jimmie Stephansson scored 0-5 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Pedro Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zé Pedro Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Smed in the 38th minute of play. Acácio Abraão took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joseph Danielsson. Joseph Danielsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Jimmie Stephansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zé Pedro Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmie Stephansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Virtual Aces's Juan Lebron in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Moema EC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Abraão in the 45th minute of play forced Virtual Aces's goalkeeper Joseph Danielsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimmie Stephansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Zé Pedro Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Juan Lebron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Azevedo having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, Moema EC's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmie Stephansson came free, but Zé Pedro Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute Denver Light shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Pedro Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Lebron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Zé Pedro Azevedo made a huge save. In the 62nd minute, George Best ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Pedro Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmie Stephansson in the 66th minute of play forced Moema EC's goalkeeper Zé Pedro Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Virtual Aces's Jimmie Stephansson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zé Pedro Azevedo. That made the score 1-8 after 75 minutes of play. Moema EC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jimmie Stephansson 88 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-11. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Jimmie Stephansson took a quick shot and it went in 1-12 without a chance for Zé Pedro Azevedo to make any attempt to save it. When the match was over Virtual Aces could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Moema EC throughout the match.
