In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rapid Punta Cana's goalkeeper Kurt Rosen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Patricio Veguri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdo Salles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patricio Veguri went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Patricio Veguri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo Salles having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Lozano in the 34th minute of play forced CA Brasileiros Juniors's goalkeeper Valdo Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Rapid Punta Cana fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Rapid Punta Cana's Patricio Veguri looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patricio Veguri in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdo Salles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patricio Veguri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo Salles having to interfere. Severino de Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Kurt Rosen made a huge save. A collision led to CA Brasileiros Juniors getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Luizão Van Dijk hit a great ball. In the 46th match minute, CA Brasileiros Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glenn Ottaway to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Patricio Veguri put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Valdo Salles. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Glenn Ottaway to strike the kick off in the second half. Valdo Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Veguri in the 55th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes Rapid Punta Cana got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiros Koutsis. After a defensive mix-up in CA Brasileiros Juniors's zone, Patricio Veguri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdo Salles came out of the goal and Patricio Veguri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Patricio Veguri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdo Salles was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. 64 minutes in the game Abel Koehler did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Benjamin Odd. After a rather tough play, CA Brasileiros Juniors's Severino de Godoi got a free kick in the 65th minute. With his leg Valdo Salles managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Rapid Punta Cana's Patricio Veguri fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Patricio Veguri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glenn Ottaway sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kurt Rosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glenn Ottaway in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Rapid Punta Cana's Domingo Lozano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. CA Brasileiros Juniors's Mazinho Gol was substituted for Glenn Ottaway. CA Brasileiros Juniors made a substitution. Tião Meireles replaced Waldemar Breckenfeld. A collision led to CA Brasileiros Juniors getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Luizão Van Dijk hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Valdo Salles successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Valdo Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Veguri in the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mazinho Gol in the 86th minute of play forced Rapid Punta Cana's goalkeeper Kurt Rosen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurt Rosen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mazinho Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
