If Hugo Fidensio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marialva S.C.'s Fernando Tinoco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Marialva S.C. from getting a goal against them. 9 minutes into the match, Marialva S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Quintun came free, but Fernando Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hermengildo Quintun fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caffita Team's protests and gave Hermengildo Quintun a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes Caffita Team got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Quintun. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severo Cresencio in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Tinoco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nestor de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Rybak in the 16th minute of the match. With a little luck, Marialva S.C.'s Fernando Tinoco got control of the ball when Severo Cresencio tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Fernando Tinoco managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Caffita Team's Severo Cresencio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 25thth minute of the game Hermengildo Quintun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marialva S.C.'s Fernando Tinoco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fernando Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Quintun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Marialva S.C.'s Pablo Sarabia got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Severo Cresencios short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Fernando Tinoco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Caffita Team's Severo Cresencio managed to work through Marialva S.C.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Severo Cresencio dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Fidensio got free with Fernando Tinoco in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 47 in the game by Severo Cresencio from a close distance when the talented Fernando Tinoco managed to make a qualified save. Marialva S.C.'s players were relieved. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Nestor de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Drumeș in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th match minute, Marialva S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Veloso to maneuver through the defense. When Miguel Veloso got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Marialva S.C.. Reginaldo Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernando Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Cresencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severo Cresencio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Tinoco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Fernando Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Cresencio in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, Marialva S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Lencastre to maneuver through the defense. If Hugo Fidensio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 82 minutes, Karl-Oskar Drewitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marialva S.C. and the Caffita Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, Marialva S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Oskar Drewitz to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Teodosio Pio made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Tinoco. Marialva S.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Marialva S.C.'s Fernando Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severo Cresencio in the 90th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Fidensio during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. For all the effort they put into the match, the Marialva S.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Caffita Team.
