After taking down the ball on Campus Douro Academy's corner André Pestana fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edvaldo Brasil quite easily take care of the ball. In the 9th minute Rodolfo Montay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvaldo Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Calçada in the 10th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Idalécio Rebelo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SAS's Edvaldo Brasil. Edvaldo Brasil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 15 minutes into the match, SAS's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Montay came free, but Edvaldo Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Idalécio Rebelo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Campus Douro Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. SAS's Edvaldo Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Montay in the 20th minute of play. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Rodolfo Montay sped through SAS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edvaldo Brasil. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind SAS's goalkeeper Edvaldo Brasil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in SAS's zone, Rodolfo Montay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvaldo Brasil came out of the goal and Rodolfo Montay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, SAS's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Montay came free, but Edvaldo Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 played minutes SAS got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Valle. Campus Douro Academy's Rui Calçada got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Rodolfo Montay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edvaldo Brasil was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After the first half Campus Douro Academy were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Guilherme Paraense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, SAS's Edvaldo Brasil got control of the ball when Rodolfo Montay tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Campus Douro Academy booed when SAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilmar de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rui Calçada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SAS's Edvaldo Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Calçada in the 66th minute of play. Campus Douro Academy's Rodolfo Montay got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Rodolfo Montay reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edvaldo Brasil. The goal made the score 0-5. Rodolfo Montay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Brasil having to interfere. Campus Douro Academy played a much better game than SAS and deserved their victory. The SAS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
