After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Fenix's Robustiano Vigil got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute Ivan Poncio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Fabio Herauso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mazinho Godoi in the 70th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes Club Atletico Fenix got a freekick which was hit by Damian Hitz. Mazinho Godoi hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Chicão Freire was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Club Atletico Fenix booed when A A Arizona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chicão Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Mazinho Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A A Arizona's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Damian Hitz scored to the left of an out of position Rodolfo Siqueira, making the score, 2-5. A A Arizona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico Fenix the free kick. Damian Hitz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-6 to the left of a surprised Rodolfo Siqueira 91 minutes into the match. Dráusio de Salles hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Club Atletico Fenix players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
