Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Telmo Alcântara took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cícero Maranhense got free with Miroslaw Budacz in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marialva EC's Miroslaw Budacz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Marialva EC from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the game, Dário Secco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Miroslaw Budacz. Dário Secco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 25 played minutes Marialva EC got a freekick which was hit by Róbson Prata. Miroslaw Budacz was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Telmo Alcântara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Telmo Alcântara really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 36 minutes into the match, Dário Secco notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Marialva EC's Miroslaw Budacz. Miroslaw Budacz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Murillo Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the CUBITAN EC defense, Murillo Simão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardinho Cardoso. The CUBITAN EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardinho Cardoso should have stopped the shot. If Mário Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Murillo Simão made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in CUBITAN EC's zone, Humberto Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardinho Cardoso came out of the goal and Humberto Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Humberto Macedo came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Marialva EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Macedo couldn't finish the play. Murillo Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, CUBITAN EC's goalkeeper Bernardinho Cardoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Murillo Simão. Miroslaw Budacz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Alcântara in the 69th minute of the match. Gildo Zonta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murillo Simão in the 72nd minute of play forced CUBITAN EC's goalkeeper Bernardinho Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Marialva EC's Murillo Simão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardinho Cardoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in CUBITAN EC's zone, Murillo Simão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardinho Cardoso came out of the goal and Murillo Simão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Murillo Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind CUBITAN EC's goalkeeper Bernardinho Cardoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 88 minutes into the game, Murillo Simão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marialva EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CUBITAN EC the free kick. In the 88th minute, Murillo Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mário Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardinho Cardoso having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Alcântara in the 96th minute of play forced Marialva EC's goalkeeper Miroslaw Budacz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The CUBITAN EC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
