Valdir Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Ramalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mitchell de Cler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Bezerra in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute José Vítor Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitchell de Cler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, José Vítor Bezerra made a precise shot to the right of Mitchell de Cler. Isafla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Teodoro Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Isafla's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Marinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdir Arce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Vítor Bezerra to strike the kick off in the second half. Quintino FC's Valdemar Capixaba got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Teodoro Marinho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Valdir Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginaldo Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nico Vieira during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 69th minute, Murillo Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Paulo Loureiro fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quintino FC's protests and gave Paulo Loureiro a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Isafla's Murillo Simões slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valdir Arce. That made the score 1-3 after 74 minutes of play. Valdir Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filimon Baburov in the 79th minute of play. Murillo Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Arce having to interfere. Quintino FC's Valdir Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Alves in the 85th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Quintino FC's zone, Teodoro Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdir Arce came out of the goal and Teodoro Marinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodoro Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Valdir Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Anderson Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Isafla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anderson Ramalho couldn't finish the play. During the 97th minute of the match Paulo Loureiro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Paulo Loureiro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
