Spectators: 6655 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when José Vítor Bezerra kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, José Vítor Bezerra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quintino FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. José Vítor Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Eduardo Cardozo having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elivélton Dracena in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdir Arce saved Quintino FC from getting behind. Rodolfo Passos hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from José Carlos de Mendonça. After a defensive mix-up in Quintino FC's zone, Rodrigo Velloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdir Arce came out of the goal and Rodrigo Velloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo was a little too slow when José Vítor Bezerra got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 2-0. Elivélton Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Arce having to interfere. Quintino FC's Valdir Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elivélton Dracena in the 30th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Quintino FC got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar Capixaba. Valdir Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovani Correia in the 34th minute of the match. Quintino FC's Valdir Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elivélton Dracena in the 35th minute of play. Elivélton Dracena scored 2-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdir Arce, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elivélton Dracena was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Quintino FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. Valdir Arce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geovani Correia in the 54th minute. Elivélton Dracena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Quintino FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Valdemar Capixaba hit a great ball. In the 59th minute Thomás Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Eduardo Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Vítor Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Thomás Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quintino FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomás Brodel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 66 played minutes Pilares got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Velloso. After a defensive mix-up in Pilares's zone, José Vítor Bezerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo came out of the goal and José Vítor Bezerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pilares's Luiz Eduardo Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Capixaba in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Pilares's Geovani Correia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdir Arce made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 80th minute, Raúl Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 82 minutes, Elivélton Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pilares's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elivélton Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geovani Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Arce having to interfere. Valdir Arce was a little too slow when Elivélton Dracena got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elivélton Dracena in the 92nd minute of play forced Quintino FC's goalkeeper Valdir Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdir Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elivélton Dracena in the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pilares eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
