The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Savas EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tostão Baiano should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute, Paulo Renato Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Paulo Renato Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. Reynaldo Félix's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Tostão Baiano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 26th minute, Henrique Breckenfeld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo Renato Freire could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Tostão Baiano made a huge save. Tostão Baiano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Reynaldo Félix showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Marcel Teles notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of 100 CHANCE's Joaquim Paiva. Joaquim Paiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tostão Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Marcelinho Linares got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Paulinho Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, 100 CHANCE's Joaquim Cearense tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Henrique Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Tostão Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynaldo Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Reynaldo Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tostão Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Félix, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Reynaldo Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexandre Secco charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
