In the 17th minute, Fausto Maranhense sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jaya F.C - standy by's Sidney Passos didn't even have to move. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Renan Tasso sped through Jaya F.C - standy by's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sidney Passos. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Renan Tasso made the kick off in the second half. Sidney Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir de Queirós in the 52nd minute of play. CORNOS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Rogério Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Renan Tasso in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sidney Passos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Renan Tasso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sidney Passos was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan Tasso couldn't finish the play. Fausto Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chiquinho da Silveira was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of CORNOS FUTEBOL CLUBE booed when Jaya F.C - standy by was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiquinho da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. CORNOS FUTEBOL CLUBE's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
