Manuel Arruda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Claudinho Trigo made a huge save. Manuel Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd match minute, Maktub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Paulo Peres to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Arruda in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Claudinho Trigo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Zézinho dos Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinho Trigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho dos Santos in the 28th minute of play forced Maktub's goalkeeper Claudinho Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Jardim Julia booed when Maktub was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frédson Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Jardim Julia's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Barral came free, but Ronaldinho Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Arruda's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Claudinho Trigo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Claudinho Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho dos Santos in the 43rd minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zézinho dos Santos made a kick off. Ronaldinho Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silas Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frédson Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frédson Lopez took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldinho Dracena. Ronaldinho Dracena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Jardim Julia booed when Maktub was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Jardim Julia's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Dracena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frédson Lopez. After 69 played minutes Jardim Julia got a freekick which was hit by Severino Schmidt. If Frédson Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th match minute, Jardim Julia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Túlio de Salles to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silas Barral in the 83rd minute of play forced Jardim Julia's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Silas Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maktub's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
