Spectators: 7227 (Terracing: 5422, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jean Damião kicked off to start the match. When Rômulo Pitta came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Lira F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rômulo Pitta couldn't finish the play. Jean Damião's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Genílson do Valle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lira F.C.'s Oscar Vargas got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 23rdth minute of the game Orlando Pimenta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lira F.C.'s Horácio Neto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rômulo Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Genílson do Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Damião in the 31st minute of the match. Gernando Meirelles's late challenge caught a Lira F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gernando Meirelles helped the player get up and apologised. When Anselmo Barral fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lira F.C.'s protests and gave Anselmo Barral a yellow card for diving instead. Anselmo Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Orlando Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poço de Merda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Pimenta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Genílson do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Damião in the 41st minute of play. Rômulo Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson do Valle having to interfere. Poço de Merda's Genílson do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Damião in the 45th minute of play. After 47 played minutes Poço de Merda got a freekick which was hit by Eurico Eger. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivo Vianna to make the kick off. Jean Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rômulo Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 72 minutes of play, Lira F.C.'s Jean Damião made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Genílson do Valle was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rômulo Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Poço de Merda's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Damião came free, but Genílson do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio Neto having to interfere. Horácio Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Vianna in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Ivo Vianna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horácio Neto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
