In the 3rd minute, Rômulo Pitta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lira F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Nicolas Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio Neto having to interfere. Horácio Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Jean Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizinho Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Lira F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Arantes came free, but Horácio Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Taitinga FC fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Taitinga FC's Marcos Arantes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 23 minutes of play, Lira F.C.'s Rômulo Pitta made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luizinho Botelho was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 28th minute, one of Lira F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lira F.C.. In the 36thth minute of the game Nicolas Silva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lira F.C.'s Horácio Neto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Taitinga FC's Marcos Arantes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Horácio Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Válbson Ramalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Horácio Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Válbson Ramalho to make the kick off. Lira F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Válbson Ramalho 52 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-5. Horácio Neto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Arantes in the 55th minute. Horácio Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Eger in the 59th minute of the match. Válbson Ramalho struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Horácio Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taitinga FC. 63 minutes into the game, Válbson Ramalho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Horácio Neto. Válbson Ramalho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-6. Jean Damião took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luizinho Botelho. Luizinho Botelho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-6. Evaristo Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Horácio Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 74 in the game by Nicolas Silva from a close distance when the talented Horácio Neto managed to make a qualified save. Lira F.C.'s players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Lira F.C.'s Leonel Saraiva got a free kick in the 80th minute. The supporters of Taitinga FC booed when Lira F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Nicolas Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taitinga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Taitinga FC's Marcos Arantes got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evaristo Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Taitinga FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
