A collision led to Miramar E.C getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Magno Bittencourt hit a great ball. After having played for 12 minutes, Jaime Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miramar E.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaime Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demetrio Cucci having to interfere. Rafa Trancoso took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristóvão Seco. Cristóvão Seco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Márcio Gerber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmundo de Barros hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Cristóvão Seco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafa Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Fabinho Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miramar E.C's Magno Bittencourt got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Magno Bittencourt off the ground. Magno Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Márcio Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Cristóvão Seco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Márcio Gerber made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Miramar E.C's zone, Márcio Gerber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristóvão Seco came out of the goal and Márcio Gerber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olívio Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Jaime Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Demetrio Cucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Márcio Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Seco having to interfere. Fabinho Lara struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Cristóvão Seco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cruz de Malta F.C. Fabinho Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristóvão Seco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio Gerber in the 71st minute of the match. José Mesquita charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Mesquita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute, José Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cruz de Malta F.C's Demetrio Cucci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Borges in the 77th minute of play. Fabinho Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabinho Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cruz de Malta F.C's Fabinho Lara got a free kick in the 79th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Márcio Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cruz de Malta F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Márcio Gerber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cruz de Malta F.C's Fabinho Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cruz de Malta F.C played a much better game than Miramar E.C and deserved their victory. The Miramar E.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
