Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nukengo SC's Márcio Neves started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Kapiting booed when Nukengo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Márcio Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Kapiting's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Neves came free, but Jailson Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Emanuel Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nukengo SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Botelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jailson Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jardel Esteves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Douglas Bezerra came out and tried to block the shot, but Jardel Esteves slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. Jailson Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Márcio Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the game, Márcio Neves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jailson Santana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Márcio Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jardel Esteves came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Kapiting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jardel Esteves couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute Jardel Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jailson Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Márcio Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Augusto Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jardel Esteves to make the kick off. If João Augusto Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Márcio Neves got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After recieving a nice pass, Nukengo SC's Hílton Teles tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Alexandre Teixeira made a precise shot to the right of Douglas Bezerra. Nukengo SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 61st minute Tadeu Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Márcio Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Teixeira in the 71st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinho Mandrak in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Douglas Bezerra saved Nukengo SC from getting behind. 77 minutes into the match, Kapiting's goalkeeper Jailson Santana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Márcio Neves. Jailson Santana made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Sílvio Dante sent off a good shot on target. 80 minutes into the match, Claudinho Mandrak notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Nukengo SC's Douglas Bezerra. Douglas Bezerra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 86 minutes into the game, Magno Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nukengo SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kapiting the free kick. In the 92nd minute Márcio Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jailson Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márcio Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Kapiting players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
