The supporters of C.A MATOGROSSENSE booed when Deportivo Garra F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 19 played minutes C.A MATOGROSSENSE got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Simões. In the 21st match minute, C.A MATOGROSSENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdomiro de Castro to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute Tony Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafim da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Garra F. C.'s goalkeeper Afonsinho Toledo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an all-out effort, C.A MATOGROSSENSE's Afonsinho Toledo threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vágner Lima, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 29th minute Vágner Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vágner Lima in the 31st minute of play forced Deportivo Garra F. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vágner Lima to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Caio Zonta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Garra F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Caio Zonta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafim da Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Pinheiro in the 59th minute of play forced C.A MATOGROSSENSE's goalkeeper Serafim da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
