Christian Proença came out of the goal and Paulo Renato Leme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Paulo Renato Leme, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 25 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Christian Proença was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 28th minute of the match, Nilmar Secco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but André Luís Medeiros saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Renato Leme in the 33rd minute of play forced Garca AD's goalkeeper Christian Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
