Nilmar Secco started the match with the kick off. Nilmar Secco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lenílson Toledo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Lenílson Toledo made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Wiliam Borges sent off a good shot on target. Lenílson Toledo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 10th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Durvalino Cabral hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agostinho Campidelis in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Proença saved Garca AD from getting behind. Christian Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Campidelis in the 17th minute of play. Michel Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agostinho Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute, Durvalino Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33 minutes of play, Massape's Michel Quintal made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Proença was left in no man's land by his defense there! Garca AD's Nilmar Secco got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Michel Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Proença having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Christian Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Quintal in the 53rd minute of the match. Agostinho Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michel Quintal had several of the Garca AD's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Christian Proença as he didn't even see the shot coming. Agostinho Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Proença having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hílton Trevisan during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Massape booed when Garca AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hílton Trevisan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Michel Quintal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christian Proença. That made the score 1-3 in the 72 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agostinho Campidelis got free with Christian Proença in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Christian Proença managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Massape's Michel Quintal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Agostinho Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Proença having to interfere. Nilmar Secco struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Lenílson Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garca AD. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Massape eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
