Riograndense FC's Hortêncio Eger was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 17th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Riograndense FC's Iuri Cearense shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 24th minute of play. The shot was stopped by André Luís Medeiros but with some difficulty. Vivaldo Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Hortêncio Eger scored 3-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of André Luís Medeiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. André Luís Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agnaldo Hermes in the 38th minute of play. After 40 minutes, Júlio Maranhense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The supporters of Riograndense FC booed when VSKG C.E.E.J was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agnaldo Hermes might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over André Luís Medeiros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agnaldo Hermes ran back to his position shaking his head. Hortêncio Eger took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised André Luís Medeiros. André Luís Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Eger in the 88th minute of play forced VSKG C.E.E.J's goalkeeper André Luís Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 91 minutes, Paulo Renato Leme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VSKG C.E.E.J and the Riograndense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute, Paulo Renato Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Luís Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agnaldo Hermes in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close.
