When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agnaldo Hermes made a kick off. If Fernandinho de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Riograndense FC's Osmar da Fonseca got a free kick in the 91st minute. After 94 minutes of play, Riograndense FC's Hortêncio Eger made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Vinhas was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Riograndense FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
