Furtados FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São Paulo FC the free kick. Válbson Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hílton Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute Lucas Matias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válbson Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Lucas Matias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Válbson Baiano was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Olívio da Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes São Paulo FC got a freekick which was hit by Olívio da Fonseca. Adilson Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucas Matias in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Válbson Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute, Lucas Matias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The São Paulo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Válbson Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Matias in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Téo Ortiz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Furtados FC's Válbson Baiano. Válbson Baiano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lucas Matias might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Válbson Baiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucas Matias ran back to his position shaking his head. Válbson Baiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucas Matias's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The Furtados FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. São Paulo FC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adilson Koehler to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Matias in the 52nd minute of play forced Furtados FC's goalkeeper Válbson Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th of the match, Lucas Matias tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Válbson Baiano got in the way and made a wonderful save. Lucas Matias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Válbson Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded São Paulo FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Furtados FC.
