Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Rubinho Tepedino made the kick off which started today's match. Dedê Tande made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Rubinho Tepedino sent off a good shot on target. In the 7th minute, Luizinho Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Ibipeba's Rubinho Tepedino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dedê Tande narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Narciso Pena in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomé Palmeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 20 minutes into the match, Ibipeba's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Pena came free, but Tomé Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, José Palmeira made a precise shot to the right of Tomé Palmeira. Ibipeba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Toronto Team's Narciso Pena in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ibipeba's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Toronto Team getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. José Palmeira hit a great ball. Tomé Palmeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Narciso Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Tomé Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cafu Godoi shot from long distance in the 48th minute, but Dedê Tande was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Narciso Pena to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Ibipeba's Doriva Meireles got a free kick in the 53rd minute. José Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Tomé Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Rubinho Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibipeba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubinho Tepedino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Toronto Team's zone, Gildo Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dedê Tande came out of the goal and Gildo Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dedê Tande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gildo Martins in the 61st minute of the match. After 65 played minutes Toronto Team got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Barros. If Gildo Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ibipeba! Giuseppe Toscano shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After having played for 75 minutes, José Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toronto Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Palmeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Carneiro's late challenge caught a Toronto Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Carneiro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Toronto Team booed when Ibipeba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gildo Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dedê Tande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enio Rocha during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dedê Tande had in the 86thth minute some difficulties stopping Tarcisio Trancoso's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 87th minute of the match Ibipeba got a corner. Toronto Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tarcisio Trancoso ran over to the corner to take the kick. 95 minutes into the match, Toronto Team's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Tepedino came free, but Dedê Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Pena in the 98thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tomé Palmeira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 99 minutes into the match, José Palmeira notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ibipeba's Tomé Palmeira. Tomé Palmeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Toronto Team played a much better game than Ibipeba and deserved their victory. The Ibipeba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
