Spectators: 7216 (Terracing: 5413, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Matheus de Moraes got the match started through his kick off. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Márcio Sousa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Márcio Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Falcão Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Valério do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valério do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glauco dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C's zone, Falcão Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valério do Nascimento came out of the goal and Falcão Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Glauco dos Santos in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valério do Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nelson Azevedo's late challenge caught a Potreiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nelson Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. Gilvan Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Falcão Fernandez might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valério do Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Falcão Fernandez ran back to his position shaking his head. Erik Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Valério do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Glauco dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Potreiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glauco dos Santos couldn't finish the play. Glauco dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério do Nascimento having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Nelson Azevedo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Nilson Branco might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valério do Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nilson Branco ran back to his position shaking his head. 55 minutes into the match, ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Glauco dos Santos came free, but Valério do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 56 minutes, Glauco dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Potreiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glauco dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Márcio Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dráusio do Vale having to make a save. Luís Gustavo Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 71 minutes, Luís Gustavo Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Falcão Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério do Nascimento having to interfere. Glauco dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Potreiro played a much better game than ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C and deserved their victory. The ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
