Márcio Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Frédson Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frédson Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matheus de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Fred Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aloísio Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério do Nascimento having to interfere. Zumar Granja might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valério do Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zumar Granja ran back to his position shaking his head. Zumar Granja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Digão SC booed when ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Digão SC's Fred Melo got a free kick in the 44th minute. Gilvan Rosa took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frédson Velasco. Frédson Velasco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matheus de Moraes made a kick off. After 54 minutes, Cláudio Valladares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Digão SC and the ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Digão SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C:s goal. Rodriguinho Fernandes shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Fred Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Digão SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
