Dráuzio Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. José Pedro Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emerson Arce hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute of the match Bebeto Matos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Pedro Lira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Guga Romero came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Canarama's Remo de Sena. But to his dismay, Remo de Sena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Remo de Sena took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guga Romero. Guga Romero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Emerson Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Guga Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dráuzio Barral was the one to do the kick off. Guga Romero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eliseu Corrêa's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Thiago Favoretto struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. José Pedro Lira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Praia do Pontal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remo de Sena in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guga Romero saved Praia do Pontal from getting behind. With a little luck, Praia do Pontal's Guga Romero got control of the ball when Emerson Arce tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th minute, Canarama's Víktor Magalhães dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Víktor Magalhães charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Víktor Magalhães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Praia do Pontal's Dráuzio Barral got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Remo de Sena scored 0-4 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guga Romero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Canarama's zone, Dráuzio Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Pedro Lira came out of the goal and Dráuzio Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Praia do Pontal booed when Canarama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tales Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Remo de Sena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guga Romero was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. 88 minutes into the match, Praia do Pontal's goalkeeper Guga Romero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emerson Arce. After 95 played minutes Canarama got a freekick which was hit by Tales Toledo. The Praia do Pontal fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Canarama were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
