An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Catarinense in the 9th minute of play forced Lua13's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Hurricanes's Durval de Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horácio Catarinense during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Los Hurricanes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Hurricanes's Horácio Catarinense slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zé Augusto Cosme. That made the score 2-0 after 19 minutes of play. 22 minutes into the match, Lua13's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Cosme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Durval de Alcântara. After 24 minutes, Alberto de Moraes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lua13 and the Los Hurricanes players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lua13's Alberto de Moraes got a free kick in the 24th minute. Zé Augusto Cosme made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Horácio Catarinense sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the match, Victor Costa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zé Augusto Cosme, 4-0. Horácio Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Zé Augusto Cosme made a huge save. In the 44th minute Antônio Carlos Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Mandrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Durval de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Los Hurricanes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Durval de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The referee ignored Los Hurricanes's protests and gave Serginho Eger a yellow card for diving instead. Serginho Eger kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 71stth minute of the game Horácio Catarinense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lua13's Zé Augusto Cosme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Horácio Catarinense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Augusto Cosme. Lua13's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horácio Catarinense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto de Moraes couldn't finish the play. Zé Augusto Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Los Hurricanes walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
