In the 5th minute, XURUPITAS AFC's Faustão Hermes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Júlio Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adilson França in the 8th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 10 minutes into the game, when Leonel Paulista put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of XURUPITAS AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jamandua AD:s goal. Jamandua AD's Júlio Cearense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Jamandua AD from getting a goal against them. Guilherme Zanette could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Júlio Cearense made a huge save. The supporters of Jamandua AD booed when XURUPITAS AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Maria Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júlio Cearense was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adilson França showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 25 minute of play. In the 28th minute, José Vítor Mello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cafu Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. José Carlos Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Cafu Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Vítor Mello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Faustão Hermes struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Júlio Cearense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for XURUPITAS AFC. Júlio Cearense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guilherme Zanette went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guilherme Zanette stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Guilherme Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 played minutes XURUPITAS AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adilson França. XURUPITAS AFC's Cafu Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save XURUPITAS AFC from getting a goal against them. Cafu Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Vítor Mello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cafu Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Romário Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Júlio Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jamandua AD's goalkeeper Júlio Cearense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gilmar Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Gilmar Gaúcho fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 87 minutes into the match, Jamandua AD's goal looked a bit too open when Guilherme Zanette came free, but Júlio Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júlio Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guilherme Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute Guilherme Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute Adilson França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Zé de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jamandua AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for XURUPITAS AFC.
