The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, José Maria Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Mattos in the 12th minute of play forced Calibres FC's goalkeeper Fernando Meirelles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 minutes Calibres FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Doni Sena who took care of the corner kick. The audience was convinced that Luciano Ferraz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Dias was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After 16 played minutes ONZE GUEREIROS F.C got a freekick which was hit by Doni Sena. After having played for 17 minutes, Henrique Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Christian Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Ceresso in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Dário Paraense suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Gustavo Barreto was shown his second yellow card after 31 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to ONZE GUEREIROS F.C getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Gustavo Barreto hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Henrique Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calibres FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrique Vargas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luciano Ferraz got in the 36th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Christian Dias handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Alan Quintal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Meirelles having to make a save. Alan Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, José Maria Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot. ONZE GUEREIROS F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but José Maria Furtado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Maria Furtado to strike the kick off in the second half. If Alan Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, ONZE GUEREIROS F.C's Dagoberto Mattos got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Alan Quintal came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the ONZE GUEREIROS F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Quintal couldn't finish the play. Adelino Batista hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Christian Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Vargas in the 63rd minute of the match. ONZE GUEREIROS F.C's Christian Dias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save ONZE GUEREIROS F.C from getting a goal against them. ONZE GUEREIROS F.C's Doni Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ONZE GUEREIROS F.C's Dagoberto Mattos pulled a muscle in his leg after 75 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Christian Eger's late challenge caught a ONZE GUEREIROS F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Eger helped the player get up and apologised. ONZE GUEREIROS F.C's Ismael Viana was substituted for Dagoberto Mattos. In the 77th match minute, Calibres FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Eger to maneuver through the defense. José Maria Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Fernando Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 86 minutes, Aírton Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 95th match minute, Calibres FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Eger to maneuver through the defense. Despite being the better team, ONZE GUEREIROS F.C failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
