With an all-out effort, Divinopolis's Enrique Abreu threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Otávio Trancoso, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 66 minutes, Matheus Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Catarinense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matheus Duarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Queiroz during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Atlético Catarinense booed when Divinopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Jaime Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atlético Catarinense's Enrique Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otávio Trancoso in the 88th minute of play. Enrique Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otávio Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Divinopolis were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Atlético Catarinense for a fine match.
