Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tauapeacu's Manoel Melo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tauapeacu's Jacinto Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Cardoso in the 5th minute of play. Cucuruto da Vovó's Waldemar Furlan pulled a muscle in his leg after 10 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Dino Prado's late challenge caught a Cucuruto da Vovó's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dino Prado helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th minute, Dino Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Manoel Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nando Passos might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elivélton Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nando Passos ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Manoel Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tauapeacu's supporters rose to their feet, but Manoel Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elivélton Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacinto Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fabiano Bertassi in the 22nd minute of play. Nando Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Manoel Melo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Luís Fabiano Bertassi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cucuruto da Vovó's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Fabiano Bertassi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The wind increased when Egídio Diniz made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Cucuruto da Vovó getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Joel Tasso hit a great ball. Ediberto Torres hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After 65 minutes, Raimundo Cardoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cucuruto da Vovó and the Tauapeacu players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 65 played minutes Cucuruto da Vovó got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Cardoso. In the 72nd minute Manoel Melo suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafim Faria during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cucuruto da Vovó's Serafim Faria got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Nando Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elivélton Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Passos in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Passos in the 78th minute of play forced Cucuruto da Vovó's goalkeeper Elivélton Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raimundo Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Nando Passos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elivélton Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Egídio Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cucuruto da Vovó's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
