Spectators: 7455 (Terracing: 5592, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nestor Maia started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Maia in the 5th minute of play forced Detonautas FC Return's goalkeeper Zé Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Detonautas FC Return defense, Hernani Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Abraão. The Detonautas FC Return fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Abraão should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Maia in the 11th minute of play forced Detonautas FC Return's goalkeeper Zé Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernani Rocha scored 0-3 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Abraão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Leão da Serra FC's goalkeeper Valdir Damião had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivo Britto. Arí Britto hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Zé Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo Trevisan in the 20th minute of the match. Valdir Damião made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dito Cordeiro in the 21st minute. In the 28th minute Hernani Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Detonautas FC Return's goal looked a bit too open when Hernani Rocha came free, but Zé Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Nestor Maia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Abraão. Detonautas FC Return's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nestor Maia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. A collision led to Detonautas FC Return getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ivo Britto hit a great ball. Naldo Trevisan struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Zé Abraão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leão da Serra FC. Zé Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 41stth minute of the game Nestor Maia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Detonautas FC Return's Zé Abraão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zé Abraão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nestor Maia's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. When Ivo Britto fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Detonautas FC Return's protests and gave Ivo Britto a yellow card for diving instead. Ivo Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Leão da Serra FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Valdir Damião stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dito Cordeiro's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Naldo Trevisan made a precise shot to the right of Zé Abraão. Detonautas FC Return's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Zé Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Maia in the 65th minute of the match. After having played for 67 minutes, Hernani Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leão da Serra FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernani Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dito Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Valdir Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdo de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Zé Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernani Rocha in the 76th minute of play. Zé Abraão came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Leão da Serra FC's Hernani Rocha. But to his dismay, Hernani Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Dito Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Leão da Serra FC's Hernani Rocha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zé Abraão. That made the score 1-7 after 82 minutes of play. Zé Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernani Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Zé Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Carlos Lara in the 89th minute of the match. Zé Abraão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Maia in the 93rd minute. Zé Abraão made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Serafim Marques sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th minute, Leão da Serra FC's Naldo Trevisan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zé Abraão. Zé Abraão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. Leão da Serra FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
