A beautiful save bye Lafacity's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Perdidos FC booed when Lafacity was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Pedro Meirelles couldn't finish the play. After 35 minutes, Egídio Chaves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perdidos FC and the Lafacity players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Perdidos FC got a freekick which was hit by Egídio Chaves. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Saraiva in the 36th minute of play forced Perdidos FC's goalkeeper Mário de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Pedro Meirelles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. One of Lafacity:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Perdidos FC:s goal. Pedro Paulo Gerber's late challenge caught a Perdidos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Paulo Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Lafacity got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Paulo Gerber. 63 minutes into the game, Horácio Vinhas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Basílio Mineiro. Horácio Vinhas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Arnaldo Saraiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lafacity's zone, Zé Pedro Meirelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basílio Mineiro came out of the goal and Zé Pedro Meirelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horácio Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Mineiro having to interfere. After 98 played minutes Perdidos FC got a freekick which was hit by Wágner Cerezo. The Lafacity fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Perdidos FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
