The audience was convinced that Petrică Mercescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fellipe Porto was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Thiago Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir de Amaral in the 70th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Waldir de Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Lago. GØRDÃØ TEAM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldir de Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Célio Baiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Lago read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Albertinho Velloso might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thiago Lago. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albertinho Velloso ran back to his position shaking his head. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Los Royal Mariachis had played much better football throughout.
