An unexpectedly hard shot by Milton Pérez in the 6th minute of play forced MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's goalkeeper Edgard Behe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milton Pérez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Behe having to interfere. The supporters of MITRE ATLETIC CLUB booed when Madagascar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Joey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cirilo Guillen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Messias in the 19th minute of play. After some careless play in the Madagascar defense, Zé Pedro Messias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cirilo Guillen. The Madagascar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cirilo Guillen should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Milton Pérez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgard Behe was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After 29 minutes MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adan Hats who took care of the corner kick. Zé Pedro Messias received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cirilo Guillen came out and tried to block the shot, but Zé Pedro Messias slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 30th minute. After 34 played minutes Zé Pedro Messias rounded Madagascar's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. 37 minutes into the match, Shao Guang Si had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cirilo Guillen. Madagascar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shao Guang Si was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Cirilo Guillen didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 40th minute, which inside left pole to 5-0. MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's Salvador Sanduru got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Shao Guang Si ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cirilo Guillen was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0.

The wind increased when Leonardo Pérez made the kick off in the second half. Cirilo Guillen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Sanduru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Shao Guang Si made a precise shot to the right of Cirilo Guillen. Madagascar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Cirilo Guillen came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's Shao Guang Si. But to his dismay, Shao Guang Si quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's Edgard Behe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save MITRE ATLETIC CLUB from getting a goal against them. Salvador Sanduru kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Cirilo Guillen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shao Guang Si, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Zé Pedro Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cirilo Guillen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shao Guang Si, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. It was Salvador Sanduru who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Salvador Sanduru almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Madagascar's Cirilo Guillen did a great save. Cirilo Guillen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shao Guang Si in the 88th minute of play. Laureano Bordat struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Cirilo Guillen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MITRE ATLETIC CLUB. After a rather tough play, Madagascar's Siro Egoi got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the referee ended the match the MITRE ATLETIC CLUB players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
