The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lincoln City's Kim Rönn got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgard Behe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ziemowit Trynda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute Ziemowit Trynda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Behe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the game, Ziemowit Trynda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edgard Behe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Lincoln City booed when MITRE ATLETIC CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Bernat didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Salvador Sanduru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's Edgard Behe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ziemowit Trynda in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Ziemowit Trynda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Edgard Behe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zé Pedro Messias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Aquiles Cibran made a huge save. Edgard Behe came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Lincoln City's Kim Rönn. But to his dismay, Kim Rönn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Aquiles Cibran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Pedro Messias in the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Lincoln City's Arnulfo Urbasa got a free kick in the 26th minute. After 28 minutes of play, MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's Zé Pedro Messias made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aquiles Cibran was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 32nd minute of the match Lincoln City got a corner. MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cornelio Ireno ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edgard Behe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ziemowit Trynda in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Salvador Sanduru notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Lincoln City's Aquiles Cibran. Aquiles Cibran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lincoln City's Aquiles Cibran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Sanduru in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Ziemowit Trynda came free, but Edgard Behe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Behe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basilio Losada, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's Edgard Behe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ziemowit Trynda in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ziemowit Trynda was the one to do the kick off. Ziemowit Trynda who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Edgard Behe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edgard Behe stood somewhat misplaced when Ziemowit Trynda came free in front of goal and shot 2-4 to the left of him in the 58 minute. Aquiles Cibran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Messias in the 67th minute of play. MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's Edgard Behe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Ireno in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ziemowit Trynda in the 68th minute of play forced MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's goalkeeper Edgard Behe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Lincoln City's Ziemowit Trynda ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edgard Behe. Edgard Behe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. The Lincoln City fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Lincoln City's Ziemowit Trynda looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Lincoln City booed when MITRE ATLETIC CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Bernat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shao Guang Si's late challenge caught a Lincoln City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shao Guang Si helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Shao Guang Si hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aquiles Cibran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shao Guang Si in the 83rd minute of the match. When Zé Pedro Messias came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the MITRE ATLETIC CLUB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Pedro Messias couldn't finish the play. Arnulfo Bernat lost his temper 93 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 92nd minute, one of MITRE ATLETIC CLUB:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MITRE ATLETIC CLUB. 98 minutes into the match, MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Ziemowit Trynda came free, but Edgard Behe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
