Spectators: 7251 (Terracing: 5440, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) Esporao FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Domingos França 6 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Valério Vital took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olavo Macieira. Olavo Macieira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Domingos França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Olavo Macieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olavo Macieira made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Valério Vital sent off a good shot on target. When Domingos França came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the F.C Pernas de Pau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos França couldn't finish the play. If Dário Frois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Romão Caeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Maia having to interfere. Dário Frois received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Jarbas Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dário Frois recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romão Caeiro to make the kick off. Romão Caeiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 52nd minute. Esporao FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Dário Frois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romão Caeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Maia having to interfere. Hermenegildo Quental kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. F.C Pernas de Pau's Domingos França got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jarbas Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romão Caeiro in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 67th minute F.C Pernas de Pau were awarded a corner. Aldaír Marinho went to the cornerflag to take it. After 70 minutes, Afonso Carvalhais mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esporao FC and the F.C Pernas de Pau players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Esporao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Carvalhais to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valério Vital in the 72nd minute of play forced Esporao FC's goalkeeper Olavo Macieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 minutes, Isidro Valverde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esporao FC and the F.C Pernas de Pau players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 73 played minutes Esporao FC got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Valverde. Olavo Macieira came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C Pernas de Pau's Domingos França. But to his dismay, Domingos França quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Dário Frois in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jarbas Maia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hermenegildo Quental's late challenge caught a F.C Pernas de Pau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermenegildo Quental helped the player get up and apologised. Hermenegildo Quental hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The attack was good, but when Domingos França in the 92nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal.
